When Creative asked me to look at its latest set of in-ear headphones, it didn't take much persuasion for me to agree. Creative has generally done very well on TrustedReviews, with both its budget £20 EP-630 headphones and its noise cancelling HN-700s garnering a recommended award. I therefore had high expectations for these headphones. |

When it comes to picking out a set of sound-conveying accessories, the choice is now more divergent and complicated than ever in this post-iPod world. Do you want a pair that you can take with you and use with your portable audio player, as well as being plugged in for long frag-a-thons? Are you an audiophile who won't compromise on sound quality, or is VoIP such a massive part of your life that the mic is the deciding factor when it comes to your purchase? There's also the complication of whether to have a headset that works over USB as a secondary soundcard versus just having a couple of audio jacks on the end. |

If there’s one thing that’s become apparent over the past few weeks, it’s that headphones are a very personal thing. Just judging by the TrustedReviews team, it would appear that we all look for different things in a set of headphones. That said, in my personal opinion, the Ultimate Ears super.fi Pros are the best in-ear headphones that I have ever had the pleasure of using. |

MP3 players have made a huge impact on the way we enjoy music today. Gone are the days of clunky, battery gobbling CD players and bags filled with but a handful of albums. Instead, we revel in the luxury of carrying around a lifetime of music on a player barely the size of a wallet. |

Ever since it became illegal in the UK to drive while holding a mobile phone the popularity of Bluetooth headsets has, not surprisingly, rocketed and it’s now a pretty common site to see them being worn by drivers. People even walk round with them when they pop out the car, as it’s easier than taking them on and off all the time. |

These days it seems like a headset is becoming an important part of any computer setup, whether you play games or not. Although the web camera era is over at least for now, Skype and other VoIP (Voice over IP) services are creating a new demand for headsets. It’s not easy to pick a good headset and if you’re a gamer you want something that is good enough both for VoIP services and playing games. |

Creative has a flair for producing affordable versions of high-end headphones. Its in-ear EP-630s were similar to the more expensive PlayGear Stealths, and the Creative HN-700s, were just as effective as pricey noise cancelling headphones from Bose. These HQ-2300Ds are a similar concept to the Portable Home Theaters but cost almost half the price. How do they fare? |

Back in October I looked at the PlayGear Stealth headphones from Logitech. These were in-ear headphones, aimed at the PSP market, but they performed well with audio players too. Although the Stealths lacked bass, they did offer exceptional value for money. Now I have the Creative EP-630 headphones in front of me, which are similar to the Stealths in many ways, but carry a significantly higher price tag. The question is whether the EP-630s are worth the extra cash. |
