Mice. You can't avoid them. They've invaded our homes and workplaces like an infestation. And because of this increase in usage, it becomes even more important to invest in a mouse with long-term benefits—an ergonomic mouse. Some ergonomic mice, like the Zero Tension Mouse, are bizarre-looking contraptions that position the hand vertically in a handshake position to minimize or prevent movement in the fingers and wrist. Another ergonomic mouse is the RollerMousePro, which isn't even a mouse at all, but a bar. Go figure. |

Yesterday, we filled you in on the Logitech MX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse, which the company proclaims as "the world's most advanced mouse." And the claim isn't too far off the mark, with the input device's unique combination free-spinning and detented scroll wheel. |

Computer mice. They're about as exciting as bars of soap. Heck, earlier models even looked a lot like soap. Yet in the very same way as computers began to evolve, these rodents have gone through changes too. Mechanical mice turned to optical mice, which then became laser mice. One-button mice improved to two buttons, then three, and later the scroll wheel appeared. Basically, today's mouse has evolved from its ancestors at a slow tempo, leisurely trucking along until something exciting happens. |

Although they are great space-savers, notebooks can be a big bummer when you have to type or move the cursor on one, not to mention play games if you have the horsepower. Razer is no slouch among gaming mice makers. After all, they were the first company to popularize the genre, with the 2000 DPI Razer Boomslang, introduced in 1998. Since then, many companies, especially Logitech, have made a killing in selling these supercharged rodents. It makes perfect sense too: Gamers demand high performance, plenty of buttons, and a comfortable design that can withstand hours of fragging pleasure. |

You'd think that after releasing award-winning peripherals and being at the head of the pack in producing optical mice, Logitech would kick up their feet for a while. But there are lots of other mice manufacturers in the ring targeting gamers with as much candy as possible, so Logitech is continually evolving its gaming mice to stay ahead of the pack. |

Boy oh boy are there some wacky input devices on the market today, and it seems they get even kookier when they're ergonomic. Input devices like the RollerMousePRO, the vertical keyboard, and the vertical mouse may seem esoteric, but they prove that its users prefer functionality over beautiful form. A main driver for this is the desire to reduce the risk or pain associated with carpal tunnel syndrome and other RSI disorders. |

If you’re one of the millions of people out there that use a laptop on a regular basis you’ll know that trackpads and trackpoint can be fiddly and are no replacement for a mouse. Here we have two mice on test that has been designed specifically to be used with notebooks, though they could equally be used with any desktop PC or Mac. |
